Utilizing theories and techniques that find their origins in the 18th century French academic painting studio, and combined with Modern painting theory, you will learn a step-by-step process in which to decipher the visual world around you and translate it into oils on canvas. Work will be done directly from life focusing on realism and the capturing of the three-dimensional form—emphasizing observational skills.

From setting up your palette to capturing realistic depth and light in your own work, you will be given the tools necessary to advance your painting ability.
